CBD Fun: Anti Media

Kids, you need to put that console down or get off the computer.
Research says kids get obese by too much media.  So, kids should put down media for a while...
...that's right.  Take a few days without media and then --
I hate anti-media advertisements.

How We Got Snow In Our Clothes: A Sad But True story

 By Aaron Job Wilson
Let's  have a snowball fight with your dad.
 I surrender to nobody.
My dad did the meanest thing...
It was a harsh battle with many casulties...
 While we were victorious...
...we still had to thaw out.
All this is true, with little bit of exaggeration.
The moral of the story is:  Never engage your dad in a snowball fight.

Untitled Story | 1 | The Begining

Once upon a time, in a place called Bambrosia, there was a certain school that taught kids about swords. If you are a boy who likes weapons, like my friend Spencer, this book is for you. If you ar a girl who doesn't like weapons, like my sister Abby, this book is not for you.

Important things were happening in this school in the base ment, where kids are not allowed down there for many reasons:

1. It is home to Boggarts and Ghouls who only eat children.
2. It's extremely dark down there.
3. You do not want to know what else is down there.

The two adults were arguing over something (as most adults do) and got in a fight. It happened that one used the legendary golden sword and the other used two katanas. The [one] who used the gold sword was named Dumblore, and the other named Skullton. Skullton knocked Dumblore down a secret passage known only by teachers. In the room there was a bridge that led to a huge pillar one could stand on.

The fight led onto the pillar. soon Dumblore had the upper hand. He knocked Skullton to the ground. "Please, you don't know the power of that..." Skullton never finished his sentence. But what Skullton said, or was going to say was too true. Dumblore did not know the power of that sword.

The silent night was broken by mysterious crying. "Only a banshee," said Dumblore to himself. But it was not only a banshee. On the steps of Frogwarts (for that was the name of the school) laid a baby wrapped in swaddeling cloths. Dumblore picked him up and carried him inside.

Meanwhile, some more things were happening in the basement. Skullton had changed. He was alive! He looked at his hands. They were bones! He was a skeleton! He pulled back his robe and looked in his rib cage. (I won't tell you what was inside or else the grownups will not let you read this.) He looked down below. The giant shark was in the pool as usual. Skullton took the gold sword, figured out he could fly, and flew out into the night!

The World of Silverstone

Posted earlier at iamchief.

Who knows how many great novels are lying unfinished in the drawers of wanna-be writers all across the land. I hope that won't be true with my son. But just in case... I've posted the first chapter of his latest novel: The World of Silverstone. If he doesn't finish, at least you'll have the first few pages.

Below you'll find the table of contents, promising 15 chapters - and a map, as well as character sketches (both illustrative on the cover & biographical after the contents). Enjoy!

the Bible

The Bible September 2007
Raising Lazurus
The Cross
How He Suffered
Song: At The Cross
Poem: The Cross
Raising Lazurus
It didn't have to happen. But it did. Jesus' most beloved friend was sick. Jesus could have healed him. But somthing unusalal happened. Jesus waited for four day's! On the fourth day, he went to Mary's house. But it was too late. Well, maybe it was not too late. In fact, Jesus wanted to be late. He went to the tomb. Here we come to the shortest verse in the Bible: Jesus wept! You can learn more about this story yourself.
The Cross
"it was Just wood"
Actchuly, it was somthing else. It was the place off Christ's death. It was the cross.
Jesus died on the (tree) cross. Some pepole call it the tree. And theres nothing wrong with that. And agian, you can read more about this story in your very own Bible.
how he suffured.
The cross in GOLGOTHA. The place where Christ died. On calvery hill. The cross is where he died. The sadest day in Jesurselm. You can read more in your own Bible.
He did somthing He did not deserve to do. What did he do? He caught the biggest bike jump? No way!
He died on the cross for our sins! And this is how it happend: Jesus stays at Bethany. From there, He goes to the mount of olives. Jesus throws the money changers out of the temple, then he teaches there. On the way back to Betheny Jesus teaches at the mount of olives. Later that evening at Betheny, Mary, pours ointment on Jesus' feet. Jesus and his disciples eat the Last supper together in an uppur room. After supper, they go to the Garden of Gethsemane. Jesus is taken to Caiapha's house to be tried. Jesus is transferred to the Antonia fortress to be tried by Pilot. Jesus is taken to Herod's palace. Herod returns jesus to Pilot. Jesus is condemned and carries his cross through the streets of Jerusalem to Golgotha. There he is crucified. You can read in your Bible.
At The Cross

At the cross
At the cross
Where I first saw the Light
And the burden of my heart rolled away
It was there by faith
I received my sight
And now I am happy all the day
The Cross
The cross on Calvery hill
I wish I could see it, I Bet I will.
'Cause it's the cross on Calvery hill.
